The Greek Ministry of Justice is leading a digital transformation initiative under the TJENI (Foster Transparency of Judicial Decisions and Enhancing the National Implementation of the ECHR) project, aimed at modernising legal processes and bolstering transparency in judicial decisions.
Conducted in collaboration with the Council of Europe and funded by the EEA and Norway Grants fund for Regional Cooperation, this endeavour focuses on aligning technological upgrades with the judiciary's needs and enhancing public trust in the legal system. Research conducted by IMR and Capacitor Partners has played a pivotal role in informing this initiative. Their analyses have provided insights into user perceptions, guiding the development of strategies to enhance digital competencies within the judiciary. The findings were recently presented at a workshop on 10 April 2024, organised by the Greek Ministry of Justice and the Council of Europe, attended by experts, including our partner, Nicolas Kyriakides.
Implemented across 7 Council of Europe member states, including Greece and Cyprus, the TJENI project is anticipated to significantly enhance the efficiency and accessibility of judicial services while promoting transparency and adherence to the ECHR.
