Our Junior Associate, Eleni Neoptolemou, travelled to Trier, in Germany for the summer course organised by the Academy of European Law, ERA, on the European Data Protection Law.
The course which took place from the 10th until the 14th of September was consisted of interesting and beneficial seminars on various topics such as the role of the Data Protection Officer (“DPO”), international transfers of personal data and data protection impact assessments (“DPIA”). The aim was to give participants all the necessary tools for successful implementation of the EU General Data Protection Regulation in their daily practice and provide them with comprehensive knowledge of the fundamentals of European data protection law through interactive study of both relevant legislation and case law.
The course combined presentations and practical workshop activities, all led by high-level experts in the field.
