Ministry of Interior Affairs and Public Administration of Montenegro launched a Citizenship economic program in October 2018 for up to 2,000 eligible applicants from non-EU countries, although the program will be running for a limited period of 3 years only. Montenegro Government provides great investment and donation opportunities for acquiring citizenship or residency permit by purchasing an immovable property or making a donation to the Governmental Fund.
Montenegro took a big successful step in economic area development and became one of the countries seeking to attract foreign directive investments, including the fact that Montenegro is one of the fastest growing economies in the Balkans and is quickly becoming a key destination for some of the most important industries around the world due to its strategic position.
Simplicity and optimality of the special program scheme provides potential investors and their families with all required information and conditions to submit an application and become Montenegro nationals obtaining job, travel and life opportunities.
The Citizenship program conditions are the following:
- €450,000 investment in an already developed part of the country;
- €250,000 investment in the undeveloped part of the country;
- €100,000 fees as an additional donation.
Total investment requires a minimum investment of €350,000 or more, which makes the country one of the most competitive governments in Europe for providing attractive Citizenship program terms and conditions. The application must contain the agency certification, Ministry recommendation, proof that the investor has a clean criminal record. Special Due Diligence agents and qualified audit firms will be hired for performing necessary checks on the application of the interested candidates. In case the application is approved, the family members are also granted with the Citizenship.
