Seminar focused on the legal definition of a whistleblower

Last week, we had the chance to present the new law for the protection of whistleblowers to the staff of Altius Insurance. The two-hour seminar focused on the legal definition of a whistleblower, the extent and reach of reporting channels within public and private entities, and the legal protections and penalties for reprisals. 

During their intervention, our Partner Nicolas Kyriakides and the policy officer of Zenox Public Affairs George Isaia, pointed out the intent of the reporting channels, and the importance of facilitating a safe environment for whistleblowing at work. The audience was also provided with past cases of whistleblowing in Cyprus and from abroad.
