Landlords allowed to request up to 6% increase in rent until 2025 after 10 years

Council of Ministers issues an order applying a cap of 6% on rent increases for properties falling under the remit of the Rent Control Law of 1983 as amended (the Law).
In April 2023 and following a recommendation of the Ministry of Justice and Public Order, the Council of Ministers, exercising its rights pursuant to the Law, issued an order by virtue of which a cap of 6% was applied on rent increases for properties falling under the remit of the Law for the period starting from 22 April 2023 and ending on 21 April 2025.
This decision of the Council of Ministers comes ten years after the issuance of the last order which allowed any increase in rent.
