Registrar of Companies in Cyprus strikes out defunct and non-compliant companies

The Department of the Registrar of Companies and Official Receiver in Cyprus announced that on 31/03/2017 it will proceed with the deletion of Cyprus companies that have not paid their annual levy for over a year from the date that it was fell due for payment. The strike off shall occur pursuant to section 327 (2A)(b) of the Cyprus Companies Act (Cap.113).

A list of Cyprus companies which have not paid their annual levy for 2012, 2013, 2014 and/or 2015 will be published in the Official Government Gazette and if payment does not occur within 3 months thereafter, they will be struck off from the Registry. Given that repeated extensions have been provided up to date, it is expected that the above timeframe shall not be extended.
